How do I even begin… WOW WOW WOW. They have created a phenomenon. A masterpiece with this musical. And I have to say TWO THINGS: 1. IT MUST GO TO BROADWAY OR WEST END IMMEDIATELY. 2. A CAST RECORDING ALBUM WOULD BE SURREAL. Now onto main points: Let’s start with the choreography, CHEFS KISS. Beautiful. It is everything I ever dreamed of seeing with this musical. The new songs are so upbeat, will leave you stunned and I even gasped at one. There was no greater vocalist, every single cast member in this show and every single ensemble, production crew.. they all equally deserve praise.. WOW. And no, I won’t be revealing their names or giving you any taste of them. You NEED to go and hear it for yourself. They are SO outstanding. The direction they have taken in the storytelling compared to the movie is for me what sold the show. All I can tell you is the perspective of the main characters, such as PT Barnum, adds so much depth that will leave you with goosebumps, it sure did for me. I cried with Never Enough, Rewrite the Stars, This is Me and From Now On. My goodness - while with their own flare, each song was as faithful to the movie as could be and I promise you guys, you won’t regret buying your tickets. Stage Door: The cast were so incredibly kind. Didn’t wait very long for them. Sadly didn’t catch Samantha but was more than understandable. Oliver Tompsett I have to say I appreciated most because he really did engage in conversation. I also do need to thank the girl who’s pen I could borrow.. I tried giving it back but she disappeared and I even told Oliver I accidentally stole it and he’s like “keep it” 😂 Tonight, the cast and crew of this show made my dreams come true. After watching the film a total of 19 times in the cinema, believing nothing could top it not even a musical, tonight ladies and gents, even I - a huge fan. Was proven wrong. Also a shoutout to Bristol Hippodrome, we had to stop the musical during act 1 twice. And they handled both times SO INCREDI LY WELL. I won’t reveal what happeend out of respect. But the venue, its staff and management - congratulations on accommodating your audience and handling it so well. What an unforgettable night.
